This week-long journey traces Japan’s textile traditions from their humble, handmade origins to contemporary reinterpretations. We’ll visit weaving towns and small family-run workshops that have quietly sustained their craft for generations, as well as designers who bring new ideas to these age-old techniques. Through these encounters, participants can reflect on how materials, labor, and creativity intertwine—and how the past continues to inspire the making of today.
I am currently developing the itinerary. I will share it in the newsletter.
